Visit the Minnesota History Center

Minnesota History Center is in downtown Saint Paul. It is a museum and library that is the headquarters for the Minnesota Historical Society. It is one of Minnesota’s finest public buildings.

Located on Kellogg Blvd between the Mississippi River and State Capital. Built in 1992.

The Center hosts concerts, dance performances, lectures, conferences, political events, memorial services, receptions, parties, and weddings. Up to 75,000 schoolchildren visit the History Center each year.

It features an expansive library and 44,000 square feet of museum space. Features in house exhibits and traveling exhibits. Also has conference rooms, 3M Auditorium, Café’ Minnesota and two museum gift shops and 12,800 square feet of classroom space.

More than half of the 427,000 square feet of the building is underground. Used for storage of over one million artifacts.

Hours of admission. Open every day except Mondays. The cost is less than a movie. Visit the Minnesota History Center today
