In many areas of the United States they have an abundance of gated communities. In Minnesota with larger lots, lower crime rates and great schools with an abundance of children running from backyard to backyard…we have fewer gated communities.
Even though gated communities offer add
ed sense of security and privacy they aren’t very popular around the Twin Cities. Many cities and city councils throughout Minneapolis-St. Paul and surrounding suburbs stating such housing developments are unnecessary and can be providing a somewhat of an elitist perception. Many don’t believe that is reflective of “Minnesota nice”. We, at The Anderson Team, believe it is a personal opinion and a personal decision whether that it is something that works for you. As an example some people find comfort in have a gated community since they often travel for an extended period of time and having that extra layer of security gives them piece of mind.
Since there is a limited availability of such homes on the market it is good to work with a Real Estate Team that has knowledge of homes not on the market and coming soon in addition to those currently for sale in the MLS. We offer that insight and service and look forward to working with you.

Besides single family homes there are townhomes and twin homes.
