Long before settlers arrived it was home to the Black Dog Native Americans. Eagan is close to downtown St. Paul and Minneapolis, the airport, and Mall of America. It is home to the largest outlet mall-Twin Cities Premium Outlets. Eagan is also close to the Minnesota Zoo and Valleyfair Amusement Park. It lies on the bank of the Minnesota River. It is also home to Delta Airlines and the Minnesota Vikings.

My conclusion
To summarize, Eagan is a very highly rated area that is convenient to so much, has lots of restaurants and shopping, is close to both downtowns for easy commute and the airport and MOA. It also has highly rated schools.
