Restaurant review for Salut in Edina

The Salut is in Edina Minnesota is a wonderful restaurant. Located at 50th and France Ave. Established in 2005. Known for wonderful French foods, oyster bar and service. Great location by all kinds of shopping. If you have not been to the 50th and France area it is worth the trip. Features all kinds of wonderful shops and after visiting the area stop in to Salut for a wonderful meal.

Meal review.

I love the French cuisine. I also am very fond of oysters on the half shell. Salut has both!

This is not a big restaurant…but it has a small outside patio, small bath and lots of booth seating.

The items we tried…

· Artisan Cheese Plate – It had a nice selection of French cheeses and French bread, grapes, and crostini.

· Blue point Maine oysters – very tasty, salty, medium in size and nice presentation.

· Hanger Steak – great flavor but I would go with the Filet next time.

· Bourbon Glazed Roasted Salmon – the salmon was wonderful, but the portion was a bit small. The balsamic roasted Brussel sprouts and maybe it is a accrued taste but all of us didn’t the sharp vinegar flavor.

· Duck A L ’Orange – pan-seared duck with roasted carrots. Was really nice and had wonderful flavor.

· Crème Brulé – always a favorite!

· Chocolate cake with raspberry frosting – we added Sabastian Joe’s ice cream and it was wonderful.

It was a wonderful meal!
