Past and present
The Minnesota Orchestra is an American orchestra founded in 1903. Osmo Vanska has been the music director since 2003. They play most of their concerts at Minneapolis’s beautiful Orchestra Hall. Located at 1111 Nicollet Mall and connected by the skyway to the downtown. Also, it is close to many fine restaurants.
The Minnesota Orchestra has been nominated and won numerous Grammy’s for it’s amazing recordings.

Summer festival
Starting in 1980 it began as Viennese Sommerfest. Then evolved to MusicFest. And now is Sommerfest. It offers free live music on the plaza before and after each show. Music varies from folk to jazz to polka.
In conclusion
This is one of my favorite things to do in Minnesota! So much culture here in the Twin Cities. And world class quality! I suggest this for anyone who wants to experience something very special! Check the schedule for special events and visiting artists. Good chance you will see me there!
