The Minneapolis Armory Concerts – Fun Things to do

The Minneapolis Armory  first opened in 1935.  Built for the Minnesota National Guard. To serve as a training and recreation facility. In 1947-1960 the Minneapolis Lakers of the NBA played basketball in the Armory. Now the LA lakes. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

What is it now?

After being remodeled in 2018  it was reopened. The Armory has a 8,400 person capacity for music and events.

What kind of acts are there?

Simply just about everything. Right now it is a music and laser light show. Other acts include heavy metal, alternative rock, Christian rock and country music. Also DJ music events and much more.

What type of seatings is there?

The main portion is standing room on the main floor. Going up the ladder of costs and higher-end experience. Is the platform booth, the club box, which is a happy medium for many, and then you have the suites. These are the Lakers Suites for up to 12 people. The penthouse seats up to 40.  And offers you a high level of luxury. Lastly, is The Generals Hall. It has amazing views of the show and can handle up to 150 people!

What a special experience! I recommend without any reservation to go there for a show. It is so impressive and the sound is amazing.
