Review of Tokyo Sushi in Maplewood
Located at 1935 Beam Ave. Their website is https://www.sakurasushimn.com/. They are open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner.
The property has a nice design and looks nice, but booth seats are torn, and seats backs move with your neighbors every movement.
It has a menu and offers all you can eat. We had all you can eat for $30.00 a person.
Here is the review of what we enjoyed…
- Yellowtail, salmon, tuna, and shrimp sushi was excellent…just took forever to receive it.
- Spider roll – fishy and was not fresh soft-shell crab.
- Shrimp Tempura Don (Rice bowl) – served with one shrimp which was very flavorful and nice, and noodles were wonderful.
- Beef Teriyaki – very small portion, order 2-3.
- Sirloin Steak with onion – very tasty, I recommend it.
The service was unremarkable, she had little time to listen to what were saying and left when we were mid-sentence a number of times. In addition, my sushi order was delivered in 45 minutes even though I asked countless times, and she said it was being prepared but only when I asked a manager did, we get it within minutes. So, I am convinced she was not truthful.
I give it three stars ***** out of five. I was not impressed and would not go there again. Have had a better experience with Kyoto all you can each sushi locations.
