Review of The Corner Bar in Minneapolis

Review of The Corner Bar in Minneapolis

Located at 1501 South Washington Ave in Minneapolis in the historic seven corners district. Their website is https://thecorner.bar/. They are open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner.

It is known for its selection of beers, the Comedy Club in the basement, lunch buffet and wings.

We arrived early on Saturday night at 5pm. I walked around for 10 minutes and could not get anyone’s attention to see about a table even though it was not busy. Finally got a bartender’s attention and he said sit anywhere. I put together tables for seven people. After a while a server came over…he was very good. The noise was so loud inside that we couldn’t talk across the long table.

It has a menu is here https://thecorner.bar/menu.

Here is the review of what we enjoyed…

  • Taco pizza – served with salsa and sour cream…it was just ok.
  • Bacon cheeseburger – good size sandwich and it was good.
  • French dip – my father liked this quite a bit.

I give it three stars *** out of five. The lack of staffing where you have to walk around aimlessly was poor, the food was average, and the sound level was terrible. Also parking around seven corners is difficult. I suggest other options…I will not go there again.
