Porter Creek Hardwood Grill is located at 14201 Burngarten Drive in Burnsville. Their website https://portercreek.com/. They have a 4.5 rating with 2.7K Google reviews. What they say about themselves…” Porter Creek features a fresh, contemporary menu. Signature dishes include fire roasted meats such as rotisserie chicken and duck, oven roasted halibut and salmon, hand-pattied burgers and handcrafted flatbreads. We offer fifty wines poured by the glass.”

They are open Monday to Sunday from 11-10pm. Reservations are recommended and use OpenTable. Their menu is located at https://soi21bistro.com/menu?utm_source=menu.

The interior is open, has rich woods, plenty of comfortable booths, fireplace, a number of rooms to give it charm and better acoustics, a lovely, covered patio and then a huge patio that wraps around three sides of the building and has couches, tables with umbrella and even one with a waterfall and also a water treatment in the landscaping. Bathroom was clean.

The service was friendly and attentive. The greeting was pleasant and our wait was minimal to be seated.

What we had to eat…

Caesar Salad – Served with house croutons and I asked for anchovies. It was average, sauce could use more flavor. Priced at $8.50.

Children’s Rotisserie Chicken meal – Piece of chicken (they say a quarter of a chicken but that is not accurate) and French fries. It was wonderful and my Granddaughter loved it. Priced at $8.95.

Chocolate Molten Cake – salted caramel, vanilla bean ice cream, roasted peanuts. Priced at $8.95. The cake was so small that no molten chocolate in the center could be found. I suggest raising the price a little and increasing the cake size.

Patio does not allow dogs unless they are service dogs and that is a big disappointment.

I gave it 4.5 out of 5 stars. The interior and patio are wonderful, and you feel so comfortable here. This might be the best place south of the river for interior design and charm, and best patio. The food was decent, and the service was excellent. I will come again.
