Planning for Spring house projects

The days are getting longer, and the average temperatures are rising. Spring will be here before you know it.

What should we plan to do this Spring?

It is a suitable time of year to organize your tasks for the spring. Here are those that you should consider.

· If you have noticed pealing paint on the siding and/or trim it would be time to secure a painting contractor now, so you are on their list before their schedule is full.

· Check out the top and underside of your deck. You may have a rotted deck and need boards replaced or a new deck. I have a referral for deck work if you need one.

· As the snow melts examine your landscaping. You my have lost bushes to the winter cold that need replacement. Also, your landscaping could have shifted or eroded. Also, the time to get on the list for spring clean-up for

your yard and landscaping. I have a referral for landscaping work and spring clean-up if you need one.

· With oak trees shedding their leaves even into the spring be prepared to clean out your gutters once again.

· Springtime is a great time to wash your windows and spray down the exterior of your home. I have a referral for you if you need one.

· Examine your driveway and sidewalks and patio. If concrete replacement is needed, then it is time to reach out to a professional to get a bid and on their spring and summer schedule. I have someone I can refer you to that has done a wonderful job for me and others.

· Soon it will be time to de-winterize your outside faucets and turn on your sprinkling system.

· Spring is a wonderful time to clean out your garage and take unneeded things to the dump, goodwill and hazardous waste drop off site.

· Good to think about having your AC unit looked at and optimized for the spring and summer season.

Those are just a summary of what to plan for this spring. I have an extensive list of experienced and talented contractors that I have used if you need a referral.
