Event in Minnesota – The Minnesota Twins Baseball

Watching the Minnesota Twins baseball game on a warm summer night is special. It is simply a wonderful American pastime.

Some background on the Twins

The Minnesota Twins are an American professional baseball team. They play at Target Field in Minneapolis. The Twins compete in the Central division of the American League. Twins are named after the Twin Cities area comprising Minneapolis and St. Paul. The Minnesota Twins relocated here in 1961. The Twins have won the World Series in 1987 and 1991.

Target Field

Target field opened in 2010. It has a seating capacity of 39,504. It is located in the historic warehouse District  (North Loop) of Minneapolis. ESPN The Magazine ranked Target Field as the number 1 baseball stadium experience in North America. My son and I saw the 2014 All-Star Game at Target Field. It is an experience that I will never forget.

The Twins this year

I am a Twins Season ticket holder. The Twins this season have been remarkable. The Twins already have the 2nd best record in their history. In addition, the Twins have set a MLB record for the most team home runs. It is so exciting to watch this team, this year! Look for The Anderson Team Facebook page for Twins ticket giveaways throughout the season!

My game impressions

Let’s discuss the experience. You will find easy parking and skyways right into the field. The walkways are open to the field and at the same time wide enough to handle the traffic. Target Field’s layout is elderly and handicap friendly. The seating is well layout and so there isn’t a bad seat in the house. The food selection is generous and well prepared. The staff is friendly and plentiful. Target field opens to the beautiful Minneapolis skyline. Finally, the team is playoff quality and we are fortunate to have them in Minnesota!
