The History of Richfield

Richfield is an inner-ring suburb of the Minneapolis & Saint Paul area. It all started in the 1850’s as a small farming community. Then became a village in the early 1900’s. After WWII the city boomed with many developers building homes for returning veterans. The majority of the 10,000 single family homes were built in the late 1940’s and throughout the 1950’s. Meanwhile, living in Richfield Minnesota today it is a thriving suburb with a first-class location.

Richfield is proudly serviced by the Independent School District 280. Also called Richfield Public Schools.  It features 10 schools and 4,417 students. Richfield has more than 450 acres of parkland. Features 23 neighborhood parks and a nature preserve. As well as two full sized ice rinks and community pools. Located just minutes away is the ever popular Mall of America

SEA LIFE in MOA – Included also at the Mall of America is this wonderful attraction. Since it has thousands of sea creatures. Also, a 300 ft long ocean tunnel.

My conclusion

To summarize, I have found that Richfield, Minnesota to have a great location. Has an easy commute to Minneapolis. Features lots of parks and community activities. In addition, is located close to the Minneapolis/St Paul airport. And is close to great shopping and family fun.  In other words, I suggest considering Richfield if you’re planning on moving to the Twin Cities of Minnesota.
