Let me tell you about it.
As you can image, Minnesota has some of the best snowmobiling in the United States. Minnesota has over 22,000 miles of groomed snowmobile trails. That includes over 21,000 miles that are maintained by local snowmobile club volunteers. Add to that over 10,000 lake to snowmobile on and your options are almost limitless.
Where are some of the best places in Minnesota to snowmobile? The Brainerd Lakes Area is rated as one of the top ten places to snowmobile in the United States. It has an interconnected trail system of 1,200 miles. Also, all of Brainerd’s more than 500 lakes are frozen wonderlands of vast open spaces. Do I need a license and registration fee for trail use of Minnesota State trails? Yes, the registration fee is $113.50 for three years. The non-trail use registration fee is 53.50 for three years. Minnesota requires snowmobile certification by law for anyone born after December 31st, 1976. Adult snowmobile certification is for snowmobile operators age 16 and over.
