As you can image, we have the best ice skating in the United States.
In just about every major park in the Minneapolis/St. Paul and metro area you will find a skating and hockey ring. It is no wonderful Minnesota is the “home to hockey” for the nation. But skating is also a huge recreational event here. Ice skating in Minnesota is a popular event for singles, couples, and families alike.
So even though we have thousands of ice-skating rinks in the Minnesota we also have some of the best rinks in North America and the world.
The number one ranked ice-skating rink in North America is the Guidant John Rose Minnesota Oval
It is the largest artificial skating surface in North America. It has 111,000 square foot concrete slab that stays frozen even when temperatures reach 50 degrees. That is the result of 84 miles of underground piping.
We also have the number 11 rated ice-skating rink in the United States. It is the Wells Fargo WinterSkate . The colorful rink lights up the gothic Landmark Center.
