Estelle in St. Paul Review

 

Estelle is located at 1806 St. Clair Ave in St. Paul. Nestled in the Mac-Groveland area it features flavors from Southern Europe. The creative menu had Portuguese, Italian and Spanish inspired foods. It has a wonderful open concept and I recommend sitting at the chef’s counter which is like a bar but with food being prepared across from you. The Chef is Jason Hansen. They also have outside dining.

 

Unheard of Google review rating of 4.9 with 361 reviews. That is the highest rating I have ever seen!

Here are things we had and recommend. We made a meal of appetizers…

· Shrimp Al Ajillo – garlic butter sauce, pimento, dill, cilantro on a baguette – this was tasty but not our favorite

· Beets – Refito, almond aioli, Manchego, grapefruit, mint, chive, and parsley. – Very tasty!

· Blood Orange Salad –Arugula, Friese, charred & raw fennel, goat cheese, and cashews. – our favorite, we loved this!

 

This was a wonderful experience and I now see why the super high Google rating; I give it five stars *****!

Our service was great. It was a sweltering day, and my small water glass was refilled half a dozen times when it was getting low!
