Woodbury is a city in Washington County, Minnesota. Woodbury is part of the Twin Cities metropolitan area. It is the 9^th most populous cities in Minnesota. It was originally named “Red Rock”. But then renamed Woodbury after Levi Woodbury. Who was the first Supreme Court justice who attended law school. It was first settled in 1844 and was wooded. It was then converted to farmland. The first housing development started in 1955.

Woodbury’s shopping

A large portion of Woodbury’s economy is all about retail. It has two large shopping areas, like Tamarack Village. Also has an outlet shopping development that is both large and popular.

Other area employers

The south Washington school district is a big employer. As is Fairview/HealthEast, Summit Orthopedics, Walmart, Assurant, etc.

In addition, it has lots of parks and community activities. In short, I strongly suggest considering Woodbury if you’re planning on moving to the Twin Cities of Minnesota.
