The population of Prior Lake is estimated at 25,282. I have always enjoyed the quaint downtown. One of the favorite restaurants is located there. It is Perron’s Sul Lago I have found the commute of 25 miles to Minneapolis to take about 42 minutes. What else did I find? The median home price is $335,700. Median income is $95,692. Average age is 39.1 Unemployment rate is very low at 2.6%. Lastly, Prior Lake has appreciated 8.6% over the last year.

How are the schools in Shakopee?

Prior Lake is proudly serviced by the Independent School District 719. Also called Prior Lake – Savage area schools.  It features 14 schools and 8,461 students. Fun things to do in Shakopee?

Prior Lake is a popular destination for fishing and water sports. Prior Lake is also popular with snowmobile riders. It can be accessed by using the Scott County snowmobile trail. Prior Lake has 55 parks on 1,000 acres. It also has many great golf courses. The Wild’s Golf Club. The Legends Golf Club. The Meadows at Mystic Lake Golf Course. Clearly Lake Golf Course. And lastly Heritage Links Golf Course.

What else?

How about boating on Prior Lake. Then tying your boat up to eat at Charlie’s On Prior. That is always enjoyable!

Then there is Mystic Lake It features a Casino with bars and dining. In addition, you have indoor and outdoor concerts. And finally, a hotel and golf course. In short, something for everybody!

My conclusion

To summarize, I have found that Prior Lake, Minnesota has lots of charm, a quant downtown, great schools and plenty of fun things to do!  In other words, I suggest considering Prior Lake if you’re planning on moving to the Twin Cities of Minnesota.
