Carbone’s Bar & Grill restaurant review from Jeff Anderson. Carbone’s Lakeville is located at 7670 West 160^th Street, Lakeville. It has a 4.3 Goggle rating with 637 reviews  Was voted one of “The 10 best pizza places in the Twin Cities” by Minnesota parent.

My impressions

There are many pizza places in the Twin Cities. But Carbone’s stands out. First, I like the atmosphere. It not only has a great bar area with plenty of big screen TV’s. But it also had the booths for family space. Also has private rooms. Also, the service is decent. And the food is served warm and promptly.

Wings

They are simply amazing. In contrast to Buffalo Wings there is NO contest. Especially tasty is the BBQ and Cajun dry rub wings. They make it a little different. First, they add hardboiled egg slices. Then a baked half tomato. Then garlic croutons made in house. Lastly, is their own Caesar dressing.

Baked Artichoke Dip

Here we have one of their chef’s specialties. Served with artichoke hearts, red peppers, scallions and fresh garlic. In addition, served with Vienna toast. Great starter or you can make it a meal. I know I have.

Cheeseburger Pizza

In short, my favorite thin crust pizza. Included is Angus beef, applewood smoked bacon, which I substitute for more pickles, onions, and pickles. Served on a crispy thin crust. Be prepared, you get lots of cheese with this pizza.

Would I go there again?

Of course. Wasn’t my first time and certainly will not be my last. I’ll be there in the bar to watch a sport event. And also, with family and friends in the dining room. Therefore, if you love pizza this is a must try.
