Apple Picking Minnesota – Fun Fall Event!
Minnesota is home to the world famous Honeycrisp apple which was developed by the University of Minnesota and is well known nationwide for its distinctive taste and texture. The development of the “Honeycrisp” is recognized as one of the top 25 innovations of the decade by the 2006 Better World Report. We are blessed to be one of the best places in the United States to pick your own apples. Which makes apple picking in Minnesota a unique and fun event for all. People in Minnesota make a day of going to an orchard where you can pick, eat and drink and this is also a popular family event.
Apple picking Minnesota the season is mid August and runs until late October. In the colder periods, look for the Cider Bar at the orchards for a special treat!
Some of the great locations to pick apples are Afton Apple Orchard in Hastings, Aamodt’s Apple Farm in Stillwater, Emma Krumbees in Belle Plaine and Apple Jack Orchards in Delano.
