Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year! I am honored and to begin my second year serving as Superintendent for Lester Prairie School District #424. I am looking forward to another fantastic year for our learning community. This 2020-2021 school year promises to be a year like no other!
The Lester Prairie School District lives out its mission of developing every learner’s maximum potential to succeed and continue to learn in a changing world. Our students experience the advantages of small class sizes, updated curriculum, and technology that includes iPads, MAC Computers, SMART Boards, and Chromebooks. This year, we became a one-to-one school district for all K-12 students! Professional Development opportunities for staff support the high-quality academic experience for students. School belonging is enhanced by school-wide programs such as PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) and Olweus Anti-Bullying. We are also proud of the many extracurricular opportunities available to our students.
As your Superintendent, I am dedicated to a high-quality school experience for all students that meets their individual needs. In partnership with the community and families, we will foster a positive and productive learning environment with best-practice instruction in a relationship-rich learning environment. Creating a learning community focused on success and school belonging for all is a firm commitment of mine.
We know that the success of our students is a partnership of school staff, families, and community members. Within this partnership at school, our students are supported by the collaborative work of coaches, teachers, administration, bus drivers, custodial staff, paraprofessionals, student support staff, food service, and secretaries. I look forward to working with all of you as we build on the excellence, further the collective purpose, and facilitate the mission of Lester Prairie Schools.
