Mission Statement:
The Herman-Norcross School is a small school with a low teacher to student ratio, lots of individual attention, and a commitment that no child wil "fall through the cracks".
We relize that mission by working with students and parents to develop an "Individual Learning Plan" for each student. That plan guides students, teachers, and parent to high achievement. Our staff has a high level of education and work experience, and the school maintains an equally high level of technology equipment and expertise.
Although small, our school offers a full program that prepares student for college, technical school, or work. Besides our regular curriculum, we also offer college-level and I.T.V. classes. Our students perform a high levels on all state and standardized tests.
We offer a full sports program in partnership with Wheaton Area Schools. We also have other extracurricular programs including Band, Choir, Speech, Robotics, Family,Career, and Community Leaders of America (F.C.C.L.A.), Future Farmers of America (F.F.A.), One-Act Play, and Knowledge Bowl.
