Welcome to the Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton (DGF) Public School District. On behalf of the Board of Education, faculty, and staff, we invite you to visit our school district and discover the many advantages offered by our district. We provide the opportunities of a large school within a small school environment. We serve a regional population, blending small-town rural values with the advantages of the Fargo-Moorhead metro area. In partnership with the communities, the mission of the District is to educate individuals in an environment of trust and respect, so they become self-directed, responsible, life-long learners.
DGF is a reorganized school district that includes the communities of Dilworth, Glyndon and Felton, the re-organization was completed in 1994. The Dilworth site consists of Dilworth Elementary School and DGF Middle School. The Glyndon site consists of Glyndon-Felton Elementary School and DGF High School. Early Childhood and Community Education programming is provided at both locations.
The District's strong partnerships and support within all three communities provides a cooperative, caring atmosphere. In 1997 the District completed a major $10 million construction and renovation project at both sites. In 2003 the District completed an additional $7 million dollar construction and renovation project at both sites. In 2011 the District completed a district-wide $5 million energy efficiency and renovation project. This summer over 20,000 square feet of flooring has been replaced and the DGF Middle School gymnasium was refurbished. The end result is that the DGF community consistently provides the financial support, ensuring quality school facilities to promote an excellent learning environment.
The DGF School District has a K-12 enrollment of over 1600 students including approximately 500 open enrolled students from other districts. The District employs over 200 staff members and has an annual operating budget of approximately $20 million dollars.
