Review of Kura Sushi in the Mall of America

Kura Sushi – revolving sushi bar is in the Mall of America in Bloomington. They are open daily from11-9 Pm. For reservations or special requests call 612-601-0778 or visit their website at https://kurasushi.com/locations/mall-of-america-mn. They have a 3.8 rating with 552 Google reviews.

The restaurant has an open kitchen with booths around the revolving sushi bar. It is a fun experience with constant choices of a wide variety of delicious sushi and foods. You simply press a bottom on a covered disk and take your choice out with the plate; you discard the plate when you are through into a slot and it charges you $4 a plate on your tab.

Host person explains how it all works and then food is served by the revolving sushi bar. Your drinks are ordered on a screen at your seat (including water) and delivered by a cute robot – I am not kidding! I also ordered Sake and it was only $4 and presented properly in a wooden box with the customary overpour (that is a third of the price you might pay elsewhere).

What we had to eat…

• You get two pieces of sushi for $4, and we had salmon, seared salmon, sweet shrimp, tuna, snow crab (skip this one), soft shell spider roll, salmon sashimi, and Wagyu steak. It was good quality.

The tip of 11 percent is already included. If you are a big sushi eater the two of you will spend about $70 for your total bill here.

I give it four stars out of five. If you are looking for an unusual experience with revolving sushi bar, drinks served by a robot and nice Japanese style interior then you should try this!
