We visited the Perron’s Sul Lago restaurant in Prior Lake, Minnesota. And this is my review.

My impressions

Parking is free but the lot gets full. You might have to park on the street. The bar area is very small and hard to find an open table. The restaurant has nice décor but nothing too fancy. People complain about not a lot of great restaurants south of the river. Well, they should visit Perron’s Sul Lago! Many think, since this opened in 2005, that this is the best restaurant in the area.

Mediterranean Olives – Appetizer

A blend of olives & parmigiano Reggiano. And olive oil. Nice flavor and quality. At $11 some might find the small portion pricy.

Crab cakes – Appetizer

This was a nightly special and quite wonderful.

 

Main Courses

18 oz Sirloin

Very flavorful and a New York Strip cut. Came with fresh vegetables or roasted garlic mashed potatoes. I ordered the fresh vegetables and they were wonderful. I added the Sul Lago Style to my steak. Came with caramelized onions, mushrooms and blue cheese. Good choice! I suggest ordering your steak one more than you normally do. I asked for medium rare and it was clearly rare.

Dessert

Not this time but they have some wonderful options. The bread pudding is to die for.
