The Minnesota Renaissance Festival began in Minnesota on September 11^th 1971 and was created to look and feel like a 16^th century “England-like” fantasy kingdom. The Renaissance Festival is currently located in Shakopee from August 17^th to September 29th. The cost is less than $25.00 for a ticket, and parking is free. The annual attendance has grown to over 300,000! This weekend events at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival (September 14^th and 15^th) is dog weekend, and you can bring your dog…I know I’m going to bring mine!

 

This event features over 700 entertainers, 275 crafters and 120 food booths. The Artisans provide for a unique shopping experience – you will find handmade wares such as jewelry, pottery, worked wool, leatherwork, paintings, hand-blown glass and fine metal craftmanship. As far as the wonderful food options…my favorite is the turkey drumstick.

 

I have been there many times and have had such fun that I go every year possible.
