29 Aug Minnesota Horse & Hunt Club – Fun things to do
Minnesota Horse & Hunt Club
I was just there last week. What a wonderful place to get out of the city and not only enough a beautiful setting but also have some recreation within the guidelines of social distancing. Located on 600 acres.
What is available to the public?
Clay shooting is available to the public 7 days a week. No need for reservations. There are four trapshooting ranges and two skeet ranges. The ranges use ProMatic target launchers equipped with self-service controls to allow you to proceed at your own pace. The club offers five distinct 50-target Clay courses. He Clay shooting is what I have enjoyed.
Monday to Thursday 9:30am to dusk
Friday to Sunday 9:30am to dusk or 6:00pm (whatever is earliest)
What is available to members?
Quite a bit. You have two Sporting Clay leagues in the Spring and Summer. The last spring league featured 900 shooters every week! There are horse stables to board and ride your horse. In addition, you have indoor and outdoor riding arenas. There are also dog kennels with boarding, dog training for hunting dogs and dogs for sale. Has two lovely log cabins to rent for many types of occasions. Youth camps teach the use of shotguns, rifles, and pistols. Great training for how to appreciate the sport of shooting and hunting.
What else is there?
Trigger’s restaurant is part of the Minnesota Horse and Hunt Club. It is a wonderful, rustic restaurant that serves wonderful food. The prime rib during the weekend is the best I have ever had! But they offer wonderful game like duck, pheasant, and great specials. Look for my review this of food on the patio week as I continue to review outdoor dining!
