Welcome to Montevideo Public Schools - home to the Montevideo Thunder Hawks! Montevideo is a regional center located in southwestern Minnesota, 120 miles west of the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area. We provide educational services for children as young as 6 weeks through graduation! We are proud of our comprehensive early childhood center, first class technology access providing 1:1 devices for all students grades 1-12, and our status as a state approved "Innovation Zone" which allows us to provide extensive "real world" educational opportunities for our secondary students. Our "Cradle to Career" approach is second to none in the region and we are constantly striving to improve opportunities for all of our students!
