Originally named Rose Hill after the trader Isaac Rose. IN 1949 it was renamed after William Henry Lauderdale. Who was a prominent Twin Cities businessman who donated land to Rose Hill Township for a school and a park. The city also boarders Falcon Heights and Roseville.

To summarize, I have found Lauderdale to be a popular city. Importantly, it has wonderful parks, trails, University of Minnesota Golf Course and Midland hills Golf Course, probably the best location for getting to St. Paul and Minneapolis, affordable housing, and a high quality of life. In short, I suggest considering Lauderdale if you are planning on moving to the Twin Cities of Minnesota.
