Welcome to the “Help with Home Buying and Selling” programs with The Anderson Team. We offer a number of programs that can assist you buying or selling a home. Jeff Anderson has been an industry leader in Minnesota real estate for over 30 years has the knowledge and programs to assist you.
The first program is our “Cash back to Heroes” that can be used for the purchase and/or buying a home. You get 25% of our commission at closing as our way of saying “thank you for your service” if you buy a home or a 25% reduction of our portion of the listing commission. How much is that you ask…it is approximately .07% of the sales price. As an example if you buy a $300,000 home you get $2,100 cash back at closing. Who qualifies for this generous program?
The second program is no money down in our 2nd and 3rd tier suburbs and rural Minnesota. The Department of Agriculture mortgage has competitive mortgage rates and is a great option. Many people are unaware of this great program. We can assist you in finding a house that mee those guidelines and help you through the mortgage process.
The third program is buy your next home before you sell. This program allows you to buy non-contingent and have an advantage in a multiple offer situation. It also allows you to close on your existing home after you close on your purchase. That way you can move in without the stress of staying in a hotel the night before closing and having all your belongings in a truck while you wait to close. Also, before you list your house for sale, you can get up to $25,000 to make improvements on it, such as new flooring and paint, with the help of Knock’s Home Prep Concierge.
The fourth program is our Pick a home – Rent to own option. You can rent the home for up to five years and buy it after any year anniversary. Visit RENT TO OWN for more information.
I have been in the real estate business for nearly 3 decades and in that time have had the pleasure of helping thousands of people buy and sell their home. I am one of the original members of Tee it up for the Troops (www.teeitupforthetroops.org), as well as a past president and current board member. We have raised over 11 million dollars to help troops, veterans and their families over the last 15 years. As the co-founder and co-chair of St. Jude’s Fall Festival of Hope, we have raised almost 5 million dollars to help children who suffer from catastrophic illnesses.

My husband and I had the distinct pleasure to work with Jeff Anderson and “Help with home buying program”. Both my husband and I are military veterans, serving a collective 19 years, and had never heard of “Help with home buying program” before a friend of ours highly recommended it. Our loan officer suggested we consider Jeff Anderson, especially after having dealt with multiple real estate agents who were unequipped to handle the unique loan process that the Veteran’s Affairs department requires of veterans who use their home loans. Jeff was more than knowledgeable about the process, and eliminated the anxiety of potentially being taken advantage of when looking for our first home. He would wade through our “honeymoon eyes,” pull us back to reality and identify aspects of homes that the VA would have problems approving, or would become potential problems for us down the road, and explain in great detail the why of it. We always felt that every detail of each home we toured, both good and bad, was fully disclosed.
Working with Jeff felt more like friendship than a business relationship. When touring potential homes, he gave sound and reasonable advice with a “no nonsense” attitude. He was quick to identify when a home was “lipstick on a pig,” or would require more work than would be worth at the end of the day. He constantly made the extra effort, taking time away from his family to work a late night bid or early morning closing, and graciously buying appetizers and drinks when we had to meet outside of “normal” working hours due to my husband’s and my chaotic schedule. As such, we didn’t expect him to answer calls/texts/e-mails at 10PM, but like clockwork, he was “Johnny-on-the-spot,” keeping us constantly in the loop with frequent updates and never left us wondering.
Since this was our first experience in the home buying process, we were overly impressed with how patient Jeff was with us, and how he took the time to explain every aspect of a procedure in a language we could understand. He made the above and beyond effort to ensure we never wasted money, and found every loophole imaginable that ended up saving us thousands of dollars.
