The Alimagnet Park in Burnsville http://www.ci.burnsville.mn.us/Facilities/Facility/Details/Alimagnet-Park-60 was acquired by the city from the Adelman family in 1945. The park offers canoe rental, horseshoes, sand volleyball and soccer fields. It has some of the best baseball fields and facilities south of the river. It features a Frisbee golf course and then of course the dog parks. It also has a playground for the kids. Rated as the 3rd best dog park in the nation!
The Dog Parks
You will find two off lease dog parks in Alimagnet Park. One is a 7-acre park with mulch walking path, pond and heated shelter. The smaller one is for little dogs to run free. It has a shelter and planter of picnic benches to relax at.

The Frisbee Golf Course
Alimagnet Park in Burnsville has 7 holes with concrete tees and open fairways. But lots of mature trees. The last 5 holes are tightly wooded. These last holes test your skill. Lot of hills, scenic views of ponds and the lake. A must visit frisbee golf course.
The lake
Located in both in Burnsville and Apple Valley and surrounds Alimagnet Park. This creates a beautiful setting enjoy while you walk. Your dog will love swimming in this clean lake! Also, you will find wonderful fishing from the shore. This includes bluegill, crappie, northern pike, bass, walleye and perch. There is no public boat access, so this is lake is rarely fished. It is horseshoe in design and is 102 areas.
In conclusion
What a special Park! I take my dog there weekly in the summer. I enjoy watching a baseball game with my dog, walking the trails and the enclosed dog park. For a special treat enjoy the grilled hamburgers during the baseball tournaments…I know my dog and I do! I know you’ll enjoy Alimagnet Park in Burnsville as well.
